For example, a spike in water consumption directly aligned to the electrical pattern of a sump pump starting is a clear confirmation of a water leak that requires immediate action.

Upon a leak being detected, notifications are instantly sent to suscribed building operators and facility managers. Greensense can be pre-configured to automatically trigger an automated shut-off valve (supplied by Greenwave) to immediate limit the damage until an operator can arrive to remidy the situation.

This real-time data, overlayed with equipment-level electrical patterns, allows our AI-powered software to decipher natural gas usage across the building and attribute consumption to individual equipment assets.

As illustrated below, the natural gas being consumed (in July) is clearly attributable to the Unit Heater as its electrical motor runs at the exact same time as the gas flows. In this instance, a summer set-back schedule was corrected resulting in immediate utility savings and GHG emission reductions.

Alternatively, when natural gas consumption is captured at elevated levels, without corresponding electrical patterns (such as RTU motors or boilers), it is a clear indicator of a gas leak where immediate action is required.
